Our company might also be the first to obtain “UK Approved Body” status in the assessment of pyrotechnic articles. After a successful audit, we can now widen the scope of our conformity assessment services across Europe for clients in the field of pyrotechnic articles, unmanned aircraft systems, and fertilizers.
On Thursday, September 9th, CerTrust had received the Product Certification Accreditation Certificate from NAH (the Hungarian National Accreditation Authority). This means the site inspection of the Product Certification Office has been completed.
We have thus become accredited in the following areas:
• Conformity assessment of pyrotechnic articles according to Directive 2013/29/EU,
• Conformity assessment of unmanned aircraft systems under Regulation 2019/945/EU,
• Conformity assessment of fertilizers under Regulation 2019/1009/EU.
Regarding pyrotechnic articles, we might be the first to obtain the “UK Approved Body” status in the UK, while in the latter two areas, successful cooperation with the authority might make us the first in the EU to obtain this Notification.
CerTrust started preparing two years ago for the 2019 Drone and Fertiliser Regulation, a whole new area of conformity assessment in the EU. We’ve certainly come a long way, but after dealing with some professional challenges, we got the system up and running.
All this hard work paid off yesterday after a successful audit with an exceptionally good result. Members of the rating team were very pleased with both our preparedness and professional competence.
What comes next? The audit will now be followed by an Accreditation Certificate and then the designation in Brussels.
